Cartoon time

I’ve been drawing some cartoons in an effort to stop looking at my screens for too many hours.
Naturally none of my fine art qualifications show through this work – I’m never going to be an artist. But it is fun to get some coloured pencils out and do something with my hands – that is not typing.
I don’t own any pets at the moment, so I have ‘borrowed’ some. Colleen and Tony own Kona the dog, Taylor, Kiki, Pixel and Salju. Vandal belongs to my friend Linda. They have very kindly let me use the likeness.
I wanted to draw some cats initially because I like them, but not having any worried me. Then I remembered my childhood reading Garfield strips and that the cartoonist Jim Davis also didn’t have a cat because his wife was allergic. So, I guess it doesn’t matter as much if they are my cats or not. Though I doubt my scrawlings will be such a hit.
In honour of Garfield and Darby Conley’s Bucky (let’s hope they are not insulted) here’s the beginnings of the Knight Towers comic strip. Who knows if they will be regular.
Clickness for bigness if you’re squinting at them.

Thanks Spike! So long as I made at least one person grin, then I’m happy 🙂
